AAUW has enabled me to build lasting friendships, to build leadership skills, and to become
more involved in my community. I have been able to expand my knowledge of issues and
policies that affect the lives of women and girls and to become more involved in voter education,
voter registration, and Title IX initiatives. I have served as president of our Escanaba affiliate
twice as well as vice president of programs; AAUWMI Bylaws Director; and have worked on
many local and state committees. As of 2024, I am proud to be an Honorary Lifetime Member of
AAUW for 50 years and a member of AAUW’s Legacy Circle. I will continue to try to advance
AAUW’s policies to support equal pay, voting rights, healthcare, and educational opportunities
for women and girls through advocacy, research, education, and philanthropy.
